ADD TO YOUR FAITH

2 Peter 1:5-8

Your faith will shrink unless you exercise it andadd to it.

Peather says, "Giving all diligence, add to your faith."

This doesn't sound like spiritual growth just happening automatically

Though you don't work for your salvation, you "make every effort" after being saved, because He has done so much for you.

It ought to be your supreme desire to co-operate with the grace of God. Philippians 2:12, 13

Don't be content - THere must continuously be spiritual progress.

Give your full energy & desire to Grow in the Qualities of A God-Honoring Life "ADD TO YOUR FAITH" -

1. GOODNESS/INTEGRITY

  An exemplary life

  Character — What you are when no one sees

2. KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

  Do you spend time with Him in His work?

  Your source of strength & guidance

3. SELF-CONTROL — over desires & appetities

  Through Christ, master your spirit & body

4. PERSERVERENCE — Steadfast

  Isaiah 40:31

  "Take up your cross & follow me." _ Jesus

5. GODLINESS — Close to God & Concerned for man

6. BROTHERLY KINDNESS

  Helpful in words & in deeds

7. LOVE — compassionate & sacrificial love

  A love as wide and inclusive as God's Loving others like God loved us.
